Micropinnacle Technology Corporation conducted on October 7, 2021, its first Finance & Accounting Web Learning Session. The virtual learning cemented MTC’s endeavor to nurture the understanding and appreciation, as well as address some key points and challenges of the finance and accounting profession in the country.
The webinar was a collaboration between MTC & BlackLine and PayMongo, a payment gateway company in the Philippines that provides businesses with convenient online payments from their customers.
Attended virtually by over 50 participants from different organizations, the webinar entitled “Reimagining the Role of Finance in the New Normal” attempts to discuss the emerging trends in the digital world, the drivers of digital transformation, the digital transformation technologies for finance, among others. Jay Olos, PayMongo’s Chief Financial Officer, and the webinar’s lead speaker tackled a technical yet easy to digest approach in understanding the future of finance profession under the new normal, all while adapting the trends on digital transformation. “A company’s digital journey does not start and end with adapting new technologies, rather by also concerning itself with other issues such as social, governance, and environmental factors”, he added.
