Qlik on the Era of Generative AI

Generative AI is creating a buzz in the market, advancing against some of the traditional BI players. But Qlik, being one of those with the strongest game plan, had already ventured into AI conversational analytics’ as early as in 2019 according to Varun Babbar.

Recently, Qlik adopted new techniques and technologies like OpenAI connectors to assist customers in bringing  contextual content through generative AI such as ChatGPT in order to enhance data and insights in Qlik applications and automations. With OpenAI connectors, Qlik’s open platform approach allows customers and partners to innovate and drive more use of and value from their data with generative AI.

Qlik has proved the power of combining  generative AI and Qlik, and how generative AI complements a wide range of use cases. From the demonstration done at QlikWorld, they showcased adding external data sets to analysis, expanding content with natural language readouts, and asking questions that deliver new insights from data.

The company takes great pride in its R&D team. As mentioned by Thomas to AIM, the company is looking to launch more connector capabilities, which probably would be integrated into every SaaS solution available and bring that data to the Qlik platform.

According to Babbar, Qlik is making investments in their own generative AI-based chatbot. This is something that customers and partners should look forward to as Qlik continues to deliver innovative solutions in the market.
